Ed Brooks
Ed Brooks co-founded B+R Partners in 1999 after 30+ years as a corporate CEO/ President and a practicing attorney.
Mr. Brooks was CEO and President of both a $2+ Billion asset based institution; as well as, a web based technology service provider. His business and legal experiences include the recapitalization and reorganization of a $12 Billion entity; numerous multi-million dollar financings and asset acquisitions & divestitures involving the oil & gas, real estate and financial service sectors; providing legal representation in connection with oil & gas matters, business matters — including structuring/closing mergers and acquisitions & complex real estate transactions – and; successfully litigating for businesses and individuals. Ed also served as a mediator and arbitrator in complex cases.
A significant hallmark of Ed’s career is the building of cohesive, effective executive teams through his instinctive hiring ability and strong, nurturing leadership.
A native Houstonian, Ed earned his undergraduate degree and law degrees from the University of Houston. He is and has been active in a number of community organizations involving the enrichment of the lives of others, and has served on the boards of banks and a wide range of other public and private companies and civic organizations.
